The state of Chihuahua is located in the northern mountain and plain region

 

 

The state of Chihuahua is located in the northern mountain and plain region.

It is divided into 67 municipalities; 12,862 villages.  It has a population of 3,052,907 (1,519,972 male and 1,532,935 female).

The capital city is Chihuahua, and it lies 1,440 meters (4,721 feet) above sea level.
